WHAT IS MY CURRENT GRADE

representation in adverts

The first picture is of a lady wearing glasses she looks like she’s at work and she is focused and busy she also looks quite tired from all the hard work. She is powerful and confident her main focus is on her career and her entire life is work. Alpha female is the stereotype that they are using.
The L’Oreal picture is the fashionista. She is appearing in a glossy magazine, and is portrayed as someone who is interested in only her looks. She likes new things. She has no intelligence and personality
The picture with the baby pushing the mum is using the perfect mum stereo type. She is with her child and it looks like her entire life is focused on her child. She looks like a person who has a lot of interest in her children and their future.
The picture with the old lady is using the granny stereotype. She looks like she has enjoyed her life.

All the pictures are representing ladies and are targeted on only ladies. Different adverts are advertising for different things which ladies like and have interests in, such as lipsticks, perfume clothes etc. The Pantene pro-v is targeted at ladies obviously and the picture of the lady representing it her hair is very nice healthy and shiny which persuades others to buy it because they want their hair to be strong and healthy like the picture on the advert. The advertisement of the hidden fantasy Britney spears is advertised by a lady to show that it’s a perfume for ladies. The way she’s posing and the way she’s dressed look like the perfume smells so nice and it convinces and inspires people to try it and buy it.  The advertisement where the lady is advertising for advertising for a shop called risky. She is wearing clothes from risky. She is wearing nice stylish clothes which inspire people to go to the shop and to try out other fashionable clothes. Also the max factor advertisement is advertising for mascaras the ladies in the picture show that their eye lashes have gone really long because of the max factor mascara which makes people want to buy it. In the Lola advert a lady is advertising for it. The lady on the bottom picture is trying to say that the perfume is so gorgeous that you would want to just lie down in it the whole day. The Lola perfume beside her is really massive which makes you think you would love it and it persuades you to buy the perfume. The DKNY advert has a lady and a man in it but the lady is holding the perfume which tells us it is for ladies and the man is next to her as if to say you smell beautiful which will make ladies think that this perfume attracts men and they will buy it to attract their boy friend, husband etc. The Dolce and Gabbana advert has a lady in it lying down and advertising for a lipstick. All the background and everything she’s wearing is the same light colour when suddenly a red bright lip stick appears out of nowhere and this catches peoples eye and makes them want to buy it. They have used a technique where everything is dull and the same colour even her skin colour and a bright colour stands out which is very eye catching. The new look advert is a lady wearing stylish high hills which inspire people (ladies) to go and check out the shop and the things inside it and it  also makes people want to buy it because it has been advertised in a very persuasive way. The L’OREAL advert has so many different looking ladies posing in all sorts of different ways and they look really posh and stylish. They all have different hair styles and different impressions which make people (ladies) want to buy the products. All these products are advertised for ladies.

She is promoting a smart wealthy life style because of the way she’s dressed. This picture is a mid shot. She is looking directly at the picture. This advert will inspire people to buy the perfume which is called elle.
She is advertising this perfume to people so that they would buy it. This is a ladies perfume as you can tell. It is called elle. She is respecting others by dressing up appropriately. She is confident about the perfume and is self-esteem.
The colour of the perfume is bright hot pink which stands out. The picture has been retouched and edited. You can tell because of the pink swirls. In the frame the perfume is small compared to the rest of the things in the image. The lighting doesn’t look natural well some bits do and some bits don’t. It is in colour she is she is wearing black so the perfume bottle will stand out which is pink.
She is smartly and appropriately dressed. Maybe her target audience is aimed at posh, smart and wealthy people who work in offices and stuff like that. She is wearing a suit.
You can’t tell what location the picture is taken in. the background is just glass. She is posing in a very posh way the way her left hand is. She is giving a smile to the audience.
She is taking up most of the space in the picture and the perfume is just in the corner which makes it look like that it’s mainly about her and not much about the actual perfume
